Not only do stationary Metro shelving units have a per-shelf weight capacity up to 800 lb (363 kg), depending on shelf length, but the per-unit weight capacity is 2,000 lb (907 kg). On the other hand, while mobile units have the same per-shelf weight capacity as their stationary counterparts, they have a per-unit weight capacity of 600-900 lb (272-408 kg), depending on the caster choice.
